Home Work artists discussion panel, chaired by Garry Nicholas

Join experienced arts administrator and former general manager of Toi Māori Aotearoa, Garry Nicholas, for an introductory talk and panel discussion with Annay Kara, Paul Hutchinson, Meka Mauriri and Richard Landers, the artists of Home Work Maunga Auaha: Taranaki Art 2024.

The mountain inspires and connects but it can create an expectation that a Taranaki artist is home-bound and isolated from the rest of the world. Getting works included in national and international exhibitions can be difficult. Artists will share their experiences of seeking to exhibit outside of Taranaki, and discuss the special contribution artists of this region can make in Aotearoa and beyond
