TUKU: Zine-Making
Want to try making a zine?
Join Zinefest for a relaxed, drop‑in zine‑making workshop as part of TUKU. This session is about experimenting, sharing ideas, and putting things on paper in your own way — no rules and no pressure.
Zines are DIY mini‑publications used to share art, writing, thoughts, stories, and anything else you want to explore. You don’t need any experience or a finished idea to take part. We’ll show you simple folding techniques, provide all the materials, and give you space to play and make. Come along, try something new, and leave with a zine you’ve made yourself. Bookings are essential.
Bio
The Zinefest Taranaki team is made up of 3 local artists, Alice, Bobi and Wiz; each bring their own art practices, from felting to paper making, that collide with their love of zines. Taranaki Zinefest has been running since 2023 as an opportunity to zine makers across the rohe and motu to come together, share their creations through selling and trading.
