TUKU: Working with Textiles with Aleisha Hall
Join film costume designer Aleisha Hall for a hands-on textile workshop centred on sustainable making and creative experimentation. Using recycled and repurposed fabrics, participants are also encouraged to bring their own fabric or garments to rework.
This practical session focuses on process rather than finished outcomes. Through techniques such as cutting, stitching, layering, and repairing, you’ll explore how existing materials can be adapted and given new life. Aleisha will share insights from costume design for film, where reuse and problem-solving are key.
Sustainability sits at the core of the workshop, emphasising thoughtful use of materials.
All levels are welcome. Bookings are essential.
