Learning and research at Puke Ariki
This popular fieldtrip visits significant North Taranaki battle sites guided by experienced educator Hoani Eriwata (Te Atiawa). Learn about the people, places, tensions and the drivers that resulted in the Crown supported by pakeha settlers initiating war on local Māori on March 7th ,1860 at Te Kohia in what is known as the first Taranaki Land War.
Support material including pre and post information will be provided on booking or by request.
