Vertexes appear all over the globe and holograms, claiming to be humans from the future, come offering rescue from impending doom. Alex, our main protagonist is faced with a choice. The holos claim a comet is on a collision course with Earth and in exactly six months the world will be destroyed, but, step through the vertex and you will be saved - transported to their time and place. But is this true? Can the world save itself?
A very engaging concept. I particularly connected with the elements in the story that eerily echoed what we are going through now, self-isolation, panic buying, ghost towns, confusion.
