The Bell Block Library and Service Centre will not be opening its doors this week, following a fire last Friday in the adjacent supermarket.
The Parklands Shopping Centre’s power supply came through the supermarket and is unlikely to be restored for a few days.

Bell Block Library and Service Centre will be closed next week due to ongoing work related to a fire last Friday.
The Mobile Library has been scheduled to stop at Bell Block to provide a temporary and limited service.
Monday 13th 9am - 10.45am
Tuesday 14th 12.30pm - 1.20pm
Wednesday 15th 12.15pm - 1.30pm
Saturday 18th 9.30am -12noon

Bell Block Library and Service Centre re-opens this Friday. It was closed for two weeks due to fire and water damage caused when the supermarket next door caught fire.

Last year, a pinhole camera workshop at Puke Ariki inspired images that are part of an exhibition opening this Saturday. Thirteen year-old Graydon Sullivan joined the workshop held as part of Fixated: Photography Throughout History exhibition. Participants used pinhole cameras and developed images from them, but it was a take-home handout on solargraphy that really ignited Graydon's imagination....
