An education programme that encourages students to think creatively about sustainability has resulted in two national awards for Devon Intermediate School students.
The six year seven and eight students were named as having one of the top 20 DVDs in the Outlook for Someday sustainability film challenge, and also won the Ministry of Youth Development Youth Participation Award.

Volunteers at the library have been busy choosing “Summer Holiday Quick Pick” book bundles. The bundles of four books contain a variety of hand-picked titles suitable for children, teenagers or adults.

To celebrate Christmas, Puke Ariki library is turning into an advent calendar in December.
Using 24 windows around the library building, a new window will be 'opened' daily to show a new display. Bring the family, walk around the building and check out the new display each day!
