Pre-school visits to Puke Ariki
We welcome pre-school and kindergarten groups to Puke Ariki. We have several options available to you for your visit, depending on your needs.

Prior to making a booking enquiry please consider the topics, themes or areas of Puke Ariki you would like to include in your visit. The more detail you provide about what you would like to experience, the better!
There are two options for pre-school visits:
Discover it!: We Love the Library
Session time: 30 minutes
A fun library based session with our children’s librarians, including story time and a simple activity.
Mad About the Museum
Session time: 30 minutes
A Museum Educator will share the stories of special museum objects related to your area of interest or study, followed by a simple activity.
Ruru trail
Our fun-filled Ruru trail especially for preschoolers encourages you to explore Puke Ariki from a totally different viewpoint. This is a self-guided activity, complementing other Puke Ariki Ruru scavenger hunts. Visit the Hosts Desk in the Puke Ariki foyer to begin, and remember to collect your badge at the end!!
You're welcome to combine options if you wish to spend longer with us – e.g. Mad About the Museum (30 minutes) followed by Discover it: We Love the Library (30 minutes).
