Running out of reading material but can't get to a library? Need to travel light? Never fear because you can borrow eBooks and eAudio books for FREE from Puke Ariki and Community Libraries!

All you need is a Puke Ariki and Community Libraries membership card and an ebook reader or tablet device. PLEASE NOTE: Kindles are not compatible with library ebook collections in New Zealand.

There is a huge array of devices that allow you to borrow and read or listen to eBooks - most are easy to set up and get going.  Plus there is no need to worry about fines because the book is returned automatically when the loan period expires.

For more information about borrowing eBooks from us, download instructions for iPad or tablets or for Kobo and Sony, or email us at library@npdc.govt.nz to make an appointment.

Puke Ariki members have access to two different eBook collections - Bolinda and ePukapuka. You need to log in with your Library barcode number (found on the back of your library card) and PIN/password before you can borrow items - if you do not have these, please contact our library staff on 06 759 6060.

Puke Ariki's eBook collections are:

To access the collections on a smartphone or tablet, download the BorrowBox (for the Bolinda collection) and Overdrive (for ePukapuka) apps via the App Store (apple devices) or GooglePlay (android).

Puke Ariki Library members also have access to the Tumblebooks collection which specialises in books, puzzles and games for youngsters. There are early learning books for pre-schoolers right up to chapter books for older, more accomplished readers. You will need your Library barcode number and PIN/password to log in and then you can borrow away!
